ABOUT THE PROJECT
The International Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Consortium (IESC3) is a collaboration of research groups around the world that are leading large molecular, genetic and epidemiologic case control and cohort studies. The goals of the Consortium are to combine data from these international studies in order to gain greater ability to detect important risk factors of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma and to build a collaborative community of researchers dedicated to discovering what can be done to prevent it.
MISSION
The mission of the IESC3 is to reduce the occurrence and impact of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in populations around the world by improving our understanding of what causes the disease.
